Major Dice Club meeting coming together

The spring seems to be the time that all members enjoy big runs in Las Vegas on the Dice Tables. With the recession approaching and real estate in the dumps one thing that members can hold onto and focus on is a good dice run. Reading recent posts about the outstanding results in 2008 from the top triple man this club has, by betting a $5 fire bet in the face of the reality associated with fire bet returns makes us all long for the action on the tables. Will it be the Flamingo this year, or maybe the long legged waitresses of Paris, or the fun of Hooters, or maybe the Crapless action at the Strat - maybe a wrongway better at the Wynn - or a Rhythm Roller from OKC, or maybe the magic act of the lookaway toss ? No one can be sure - but what we can be sure of is that the first meeting with massive attendance if finally on the schedule. Get your tickets early, and start reading and studying your text books from now. The Dice club meeting has been scheduled for the weekend of March 13, 2008.

Crapless Craps for the MAXIMUM return

I approached the craps area, and one table was on fire. I noticed at least one fellow that had a full rack of greens and blacks, and a bunch of other folks filling up the table. You guys all know we have had a number of discussions about whether you should approach a hot table and jump in – or if that is the key to end a good role, but cooling things down. Well lucky for me that table was so hot, I could not get in. I noticed one lone guy paying over at the crapless table, and I made my way over there to see what the action looked like.

That guy was playing big money, as I reported earlier he had about 3~4k in action. He later told me that he had bought in for 10k and was down about 8k when I joined him. Normally I don’t consider $120 enough to really get things going on the crapless table. You guys know the requirements for getting decent action on all those numbers.

I decided to jump right in, and ordered a hard 8 for $5 and got change for $120. Bang Seven out right out of the blocks. The big shooter was pissed that I jumped in and he was insinuating that my hard way cooled off the table and cost him more money. I felt bad and was up next as the shooter. I figured, like always the best way to get this guy back on track was to have a big roll, and that was the beginning of it.

Now I cant take you through shot after shot, but the summary of it was – I had a double parley hard way – which stared with $10, so I won a few bucks on that. The big money player cleaned up on that roll – I hit ever extreme number so many times I lost count. I told you earlier about the 12 in which he hit for the table max of $12k One interesting note, not once during the entire roll did I hit a Seven – until the final seven out.

I ended up $1,800 and the big player was up 42k after he was down 8k. He made a point of telling me that it was his biggest single roll, and he was very pleased I jumped in to join him. This was a quiet victory, because it was just this other fellow and I paying on the crapless table. I did some hooting and hollering myself, but the big shooter did not get to excited. He did high five me when I hit the 12 for him, but that was the extent of is.

art The rhythm roller from OKC Curtis Lemay gets a hold of the dice. This picture was taken just as he started his roll, which lasted 25 minutes and made us both more than $500. It looked like the meeting was off to a good solid start. Watch out for drunk beer spitting women that cool off the table and buy onto a $5 table with $10.

A quick dinner moved us out of Downtown and into the Strat, where we met up with George. This next picture was take at the massacre when George was still smiling. **** Lesson learned at the Strat

don’t try to play crapless when the minimum is $10, unless you are up big time, and have plenty of ammo to work your way in.

Not to be deterred we head to the Rio. Once again Curtis gets a hold of the dice and things turn around quickly. He shot the dots off the dice. Lots of Green Chips every player cashed more than $700.

My personal situation was quite bleek going into Curtis roll, I had given back the 600 I won at the 4Queens and had to reach for my last 100 for Curtis’s roll. I was literally down to my last $2. I took the ride and boy was I happy. The rhythm roller strikes again.

Fatty’s Tradition – and recognizing the signs of a hot roll

The members will certainly have their own fond memories of Fatty’s after a big score. I was not able to get by the usual hot spot the night of the big win, but Saturday provides a good opportunity to see how the tradition works out – and I tested it at the Santa Fe.

It is a very good sign to be able to win on a match play coupon. In today’s case I had to give it a try and see if I could follow up the big triple with another memorable session. Finally – a $25 match play winner. Its not a triple but it gets you off and running if you can win it. Today’s win, was a sign of things to come. Bet it on the pass line since they don’t let you get any odds with it.

TRIPLES IN THE DESERT - You can turn 5$ into $2,500 in minutes - the dice are HOT HOT HOT

I am happy to report that tonight a few hours ago I hit a triple 6 at the new TI. I had $250 up when I hit it, and I left 600 up. Fellow club members - some important new observations and a call for an immediate meeting date to be scheduled in OCT.

On the observation front - I jumped onto a table - mid roll - did not even have a line bet. I went up on the 6 and 8 - and was putting my toe in the water. The shooter hit a hard 6 and I was not on it. I thought to myself - now may be a good time to execute the Wasserman triple. I jumped up with 5 and the shooter started raining triple 6's. It's been a while guys and without any other members to encourage me, I have to say I pulled up a little short on the second bet. I went from 5 to 50 ok, but when the 500 hit - I took 250 down and left 250 up on the hard way. Over comes the pit boss - they could tell I was ready. I asked the shooter – I called it in - and would you believe - he bull-frogged a hard 6. A pair of threes. The crowd went wild.

Well actually there was not much of a crowd, I went wild. There was a couple of German tourist on my left who had no idea what had just happened asking me to explain that bet to them, in a pushy German way, and a mullet head guy in the corner - who was on the hard 6 the first time it hit - remember I jumped up after it hit once. His comment - wow man... I wish I had pressed my bet.

Fellow members - I have been hanging out in Montana. I have been away from the tables - and except for my last meeting with Curtis a couple of months ago - I have been away from the tables. I came back early this week - because I had to attend a mandatory court ordered settlement conference on Friday for my appointment at the carnival. The airlines did not have any flights and I drove 14.5 hours yesterday to make my appearance.

I decided today to make an attempt at settling the case before we went into the judge tomorrow and I can't believe it, but I was able to get the case settled. I felt like that was a good sign a small win, my luck was on the rise and so - why not visit the new TI on my way to the Apple Store.

George had just told me that he would rather cut off his pinky before he would return to the TI. He says he has swarn the place off. George I have to ask you to reconsider.

Hitting a triple at a place should be like when you win a PGA tournament. You always get a chance without qualifying.

If the triple is not enough Mark and I have a story - its a little old now, but we had a huge comeback run at the TI - and we almost hit the megabucks jackpot that night.

Mark do you remember ? Of course you do. Well guys when can we schedule the next meeting ???
